An Act current on the east state of Charles at field decd in account with David Bower executor Accounting follows --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [In the left margin] Jeremiah Drew s Will In the name of God amen, Jeremiah Drew of the County of Southampton being in a con State of health but in perfect mind and memory thanks be to God now calling to mind that it is appointed once for all men to die do make in ordain this this my last will and testament Principally and First are recommend lost soul to Almighty God and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner and touching my worldly goods which it has pleased God to bless me with. Bridge branch, bounded as followith, by the said branch begins thence to Dolphin Drew s line, thence to the Angelica Swamp Thence up the swamp to the beginning at the mouth of the said branch. I also Lend to my said wife the use of my mill until my son James Drew arrives To the age of twenty one years, then I lend her the use of only the one half oh my said mill during her natural life. I likewise lend my wife the use of the remainder of my estate after paying all my just debts during her natural life to raise and educate my children or until they come of age or marry, then to receive their legacies hereafter mentioned as above directed. I give and devise to my son Newit iDrew one hundred acres of land lying in the forks of the ?hav? bridge branch and Purcells branch to Abraham Johnson's line. I likewise bequeath to my said son Newit one hundred ninety eight acres of land that I'll lent my wife after her death to him and his heirs. Also give to my son knew it one Negro boy call Ben together with one horse bridle and saddle and a feather bed and furniture to him and his heirs. Item: I'm a give and the bars to my son James through all my lands lying on the head of Parcells Branch in the fork of said branch and the fork branch, also the remaining half of my mill when he arrives to the age of twenty one, & the other half after the death of my wife, with four acres of land adjoining two acres of which my father left me, on the side end of the dam, and the other two on the north end to him in his ears. I likewise give to my son James one Negro call Mingo, one horse saddle and bridal, and one feather bed and furniture. Item I give to my daughter Susanna Drew one Negro called Ned and one one feather bed & furniture/ Item I give to my daughter Mary Drew one Negro called Young Harrey, also one feather bed & furniture/ Item I give to my daughter Sarah Drew one negro woman called Sal and her increase also one feather bed & furniture. Item I give to my daughter Priscilla Drew twoe negroes called Bob, the Other Pompey and also one feather bed & furniture. A gift and equates to my above mentioned children they are said lega- cies to them and their heirs. My will and desire further is that the remainder of my Estate of every kind or nature whatsoever of wheresoever fpund after the death of my wife be equally divided between my surviving children children and their increase.
